Okay, so I tried something outta the box with this one! This is my OC Judas, who's a main villain in my story that relies on the help of demons and witchcraft to off the MC who's really morally grey. But anyway, the background is supposed to be a sunset with cracked glass shards surrounding her representing all the things she did wrong in her life and will do. I wanted Judas to contrast to the bright background with her darker tones and colors to make her stand out and have a more grim/anguished look on the art piece! My interpretation of the quote is even the most innocent of things hold wicked secrets, flowering vines that seem so beautiful and perfect that strangle other plants off to take over areas to reign supreme and become invasive. Judas is a lot like this, being a motherly teacher if you don't really know her, but truly she's fragments of pure, rotting evil that doesn't fear to reveal the darkness that controls her.
