ᴘʀᴇᴠɪᴏᴜꜱʟʏ ɪɴ ᴄʜᴀᴘᴛᴇʀ 3: Hermione put down her book and shifted her seating. Something had been hurting her back. She looked at it and realized it was a lever. Her heart started beating fast again. She cautiously pulled it down. At first, it seemed as though nothing had happened. After a few seconds though, the floor opened and she began to fall. ⎶ ƈɦǟքȶɛʀ 4, ȶɦɛ ʝօʊʀռɛʏ ⎶ "Hello?" tried Hermione. "Hermione, is that you?!" questioned a voice behind her. "Bloody chicken, you made it," said another voice. "Harry, Ron, you're here!! Are you both okay?" "Yes," replied the two boys. At that point, the three friends seemed to be in a dark chamber, far below the girls bathroom. It smelled of dirty socks and wrotten fruit. "Ok, we are DEFINETLY not supposed to be here," commented Hermione. Ron turned around. "This whole book thing was probably just another of Malfoy's tricks. Ugh, that rat," added Harry. "Wait, you guys, look! There, that table, it has a small light in the drawer. And I think I see something on top of it!!" exclaimed Ron. Harry and Hermione spun around. The trio raced to the desk and tried to open the drawer. However, it was locked. "Hermione.... come on, hurry up please," demanded Ron. "Why me? You know how to do it as well now!!" exclaimed Hermione. "Because it's YOUR thing, not mine!!" responded Ron. "Fine. Whatever. *sigh* Alohomora," concluded Hermione. The drawer rattled and the three friends jumped back in surprise. It rattled again. And again. And then, suddenly, it burst open and a million papers flew out. The trio covered their faces. An extremely bright light coming from the drawer lit up the whole room and then, as fast as it had come, it disappeared. The three of them realised they had been holding their breaths and breathed in. They approached the table cautiously. Harry was about to reach the table when Hermione said, "WAIT! Revelio." A white marble see-through figure rose from the drawer. It had long, aged hair, many wrinkles, and most importantly, a book in her hand. On the book, touched by age but clearly readable, there was written, ﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏﹏ ꒰ Hogwarts: A History ꒱ ꒰ Bathilda Bagshot ꒱ ﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋﹋ "I see you have found me. Impressive, very impressive. You see, the reason you two boys found... Holy cricket! Are you Harry Potter? Pleasure to meet you sir. Now, where was I.... a yes, so, you see, the reason you two boys found me faster than this brilliant young woman here in front of me is because those who do no work to enter and only follow the person leading them can enter easily. However, to test out how brilliant and courageous the leader is, they, must find the lever, which only appears once the others have fallen," told the figure. "Oh my gosh, apparently, I was the leader of the group.... but it was always Harry who lead... I usually just solved most of the problems... That is so amazing!" thought Hermione. "Excuse me... but... who are you, exactly," questioned Ron with a gulp. "Oh, yes, excuse me, I forgot to present myself. I am Bathilda Bagshot, writer of 'Hogwarts: A History,' " responded Bathilda. "Wait, about what you said... that whole 'leader needs to find the lever thingy but others can go easily' for people such as Malfoy and his goons? Because malfoy would need to find the lever but his friends aren't as brilliant as he is... people like them?" questioned Harry. "Right you are, dear. Very impressive, you three are. very impressive," praised Bathilda, "Now, you three must continue on your journey. I know it is very important so follow me." "Follow you to wher... " Suddenly, Ron was cut off as Bathilda went through the three freidns, as she was a ghost. When the three opened their eyes again, they found themselves in an unknown place. the only thing they knew, is that it was pouring rain and they needed to find shelter.
