WOO IM PROUD OF THIS ONE OMG Entries: Scene Reference sheet Icon Bonus: reference of her friend StarScale :D (Yay, art style improvement:D) ☾☆☽ Info Name: Corsair Meaning: a pirate and it’s ship Pronouns: She/her Orientation: sapphic (females only) Age: 17 (human years) Species: aquatic bat-eared fox Home: the vast oceans of planet Divinos Traits: curious, trustworthy, daring ☾☆☽ Lil story! Corsair was an adventurous fox, always wanting to explore the world around her. But her family was strict, and afraid of the beyond. They’d always stay put on their island, eating coconuts and fishing in the shallow bay. Corsair had always wanted to know what could really be lurking through the sea that made her family so hesitant about exploring it. So one night, without any of the other foxes knowing, she dipped her paws in the water, and swam away. She had never swam this deep before, but could hold her breath for a lot more time, so continued into the dark depths of the sea. After a few minutes, she spotted something, a dim glow in the distance. With curiosity, she continued toward it. As she got closer, more and more of the glow was visible. It was an entire reef of bioluminescent coral! What have the other foxes been missing out on? Even the fish that swam over the reef glowed, their scales glimmering through the water. “This is beautiful!” She thought to herself. She explored the reef, corals and plants of all glowing colors and shapes, and tons of fish, big and small. She wished she could live at the glowing reef forever, she loved it! While chasing some minnows around, she then spotted a large cave. There was more bioluminescence on the inside, so decided to check it out… crystals, growing straight out of the stone! They shimmered and shined at every angle, she HAD to show the other foxes. She then attempted to chip a piece of the crystal off of the cave wall, but was interrupted by loud grumbling coming from further in the cave. Startled, she flinched back, looking around to see what it was- as she turned to face the inner cave, she saw another bright glow, but this wasn’t more crystals or corals, it was EYES. staring directly at her. What would she do? Swim for her life? Stay as still as possible? Or by now just sacrifice herself to the horrific being??? Then she realized: this is what Corsair’s family had warned her about. And now she was going to die, wrong about sneaking out, a pathetic, alone death. Until- “A fox? I thought you creatures only lived on the land!” A sudden friendly voice yelped with surprise. “I- I- wh-! WHAT ARE YOU!?” Corsair blurted out, barely being able to make up the bubbly words to come out of her mouth. “Oh, how rude of me. Let me help you!” The big creature revealed itself, deep blue scales with webbed fins and teal barbs all over its body. It then pushed Corsair out of the cave, its fin wrapped around her, and darted straight to the top of the water. She then bursted her head out of the water with a screaming gasp of air. “AAGH!!! Monster!!” She gurgled, out of breath. “Wait, please! I promise I mean no harm!” The creature backed away, attempting to give the terrified fox a bit of space. “You-!! You tried to- I- you saved me?” She squealed as if she couldn’t comprehend what had just happened. “Yes, please, I’m not a monster!” It seemed to beg for her trust. “…Fine. I’m Corsair.” She scoffed, still unsure of the strange creature. “I’m StarScale, I’m a sea drake. Nice to meet you, Corsair!” He bared his teeth with a grin. She grinned back, “Well… I suppose I head back to my island now. Thank you, StarScale. Sorry for trespassing in your reef.” “My reef? Don’t worry about that! I never get visitors… thank YOU.” His voice was kind, and soothing. “Heh, maybe I can come back?” She peeked her ears up. “For sure, yes!” His tail wagged, causing the water to ripple. “Thank you, goodbye!” ☾☆☽ (Well I had no idea how to really end that, but just a short story of how these two characters became friends :) (If you win this character you can use the art I made of her but just don’t also claim StarScale as your own as he has been my oc since before I made this entry)
