↳ ⬪ ⟬ ɪɴᴛʀᴏᴅᴜᴄᴛɪᴏɴ ⟭ ⬪ I decided to enter for Glass Rose! I love the design, and I have some cool ideas for a possible backstory. The first artwork I made of Rose took around 2 hours, and I’m pretty proud of it! :D I hope you like it too :) I might make some more artworks for Rose before the due date! ^^ Now onto the cHaRaCtEr InFoRmAtIoN!1! ✦ ♡ ------------------ ♡ ✦ ↳ ⬪ ⟬ ᴅᴇsᴄʀɪᴘᴛɪᴏɴ ⟭ ⬪ Name: Rose or Petal Petal is more of a nickname, a name used by those closer to her, so for now I’ll be referring to her as Rose. Pronouns: She/Her and They/Them Rose is a demigirl (half girl, half non-binary sort of) Species: Dog-cat thing. Rose is some type of creature not quite a dog or a cat, more like something hovering in the middle of these two creatures. She somewhat resembles a hyena, yet also has glass body parts that hold a rosy liquid inside. Key features: Rose has a few parts of their body that are made up of hollow glass, holding a rosy substance inside. These body parts are her ears, and neck and chest. When Rose walks, their feet trail pale pink and purple petals. They have floofy fur leading from the top of their head all the way to their lower back, and also tufts of it on their feet. Personality & hobbies: Rose is kind and welcoming, while appearing outgoing and enthusiastic on the outside, she is actually quite calm and introvert, and enjoys time to themself to do things like pressing flowers and exploring the woods around their cottage. She has a few good friends, but other than them she mostly enjoys time with her family, and other creatures she meets in the woods like birds or squirrels. Rose will also often plant flowers, vegetables and fruits around their cottage. Their favourite plants include roses (obviously lol), cornflowers, passion fruit (and their flowers!) and lavender. One of their favourite places to go is a little stream hidden away in the forest. Rose loves going here and sitting on the stones that litter the river, and listening to the birds from this sitting spot early in the morning. Rose has two little baskets that rest on either side of their back that she uses to pick wildflowers and berries they find on their explorations. World: Rose grew up in a vast forest, in a wide valley. From her cottage, if you look to the east, you can see beautiful snowy mountains in the distance. In the west, the forest slowly thins out to rolling fields of buttercups and other brightly coloured wildflowers. Backstory: (Because it takes me a while to create a good, non-rushed interesting backstory without creating a bad/rushed one and losing motivation for the character, I have the beginnings of a backstory here, but I do not want to rush the creative process so it is not a fully developed, complete story due to this ^^”) Rose grew up in a cottage in a wide valley, surrounded by sprawling forests. She doesn’t exactly remember her parents, as they disappeared when she was very young. They love to go explore the lands around their cottage almost every day, some days she’ll get up early to sit by a stream and listen to the birds, and other days they’ll go for picnics in the sprawling fields to the west, or simply wander the beautiful woods, fields and mountains, making little friends and picking wildflowers and berries. Rose has a calm, happy, simple life and likes it this way.
