Zuko flicked his hair to one side before spitting back, “Too late. I already have won.” Zuko created a fireball and pointed it at the man. “Retreat!” The man cried. The soldiers ran back. “Pathetic Earth soldiers. They can’t steal our land.” Zuko turned to see Mai’s face. “It can’t be true. How dare you do that without my permission! Guards! Lock her up in solitary.” Zuko’s face darkened as he ran to the palace. There she was.. Katara. “Actually leave her guards.” The guards nodded as they let Mai go. “Do you love her Zuko?” Mai said damply. Zuko hesitated before sighing. “Yes Mai. I love her. She could of killed me so many times but didn’t… that’s what I need for a queen.” Mai’s eyes widened with shock then they turned to anger. Mai blasted Katara but it recoiled back at her. “How?” She shouted with shock. “Firebending… I can recoil any of your attacks Mai.” Zuko said, grinning. “You loved me but I didn’t. Your to dark and gloomy to love.” “Zuzu… my Zuzu… you choose me, your true love, over a water girl?” Mai questioned. “Yes. And she’s no ordinary Water girl.. she’s friends with the Avatar.” Zuko spat back. Katara got up. “Mai.. I understand your pain of not getting your love… but there are more benders and people out there that you can love. Zuko is taken.” Katara said sympathetically. “Don’t give me sympathy and pity Water Girl! I’ll be back… stronger.” Mai said darkly. “Yeah yeah! And I bet i’ll still beat you.” He scoffed. “Hmph. I’ll be stronger.. and that’s a promise.”
