Team Violet Salmon explorers a cavern they found while exploring underwater! I got a whole story below, so just hang tight! It will be really hard to understand if you didn't read the story, so please do! I worked really hard on it :') As the Violet Salmon explorers the waters, they come across a cave underwater. As everybody swims in, they reach a dry part, standing in front of a fork in the path. Pirate Eel turns to face the crowd, speaking up for everyone. "What about we split up? Half of us go one way, half of us go the other?" Everyone murmurs in agreement, and split up to search. Unknown to them, they left behind Coral and Raven. Coral had found something interesting, a crown of pure gold and rubies, that glittered in the light. Raven had only just noticed Coral, and turned around. "Wait! Don't grab that!" She yelped, as Coral reached her paws out. "Why not?" She asked. "It's just a bit of treasure, it won't hurt to take SOME loot back." "It's sitting on a pedestal, its clearly a trap! I wouldn't do that..." Raven inquired, but before she could say anything else Coral lifted the crown, and a long silence fell. "... See? Nothing!" She said at last, before Raven sighed. "Good, now let's hurry up and get back to the crew, they could be waiting for us." Down in the cave Shatter and Conch descended down the stairs. Shattered cocked his head around, questioning if Conch was still there, the silence making it hard to tell. "Why are you so quiet, Conch?" They asked, finally breaking the stillness of the cavern. "It's just that these stairs are so broken, I'm trying my best not to trip, or crack something..." Suddenly, to Shatter the floor got a lot more unbalanced. "Now that you mentioned i-" and before he could finish his words a shriek came, and Conch tripped right into Shatter, and they tumbled down a few steps, before they both managed to sink their claws into the cracks. "S-sorry about that, there was moss on that step." Coral heaved themself up, a small grin on their face. Shatter smirked back. "No worries, now let's get down here. A few minutes later, they finally reached the end of the stairs, and found Patch at the bottom of them. "Conch! Shatter!" He barked urgently. "I was walking with Kelp Fisher, Eel, and Arrzayli, and I went ahead, this ball fell from the sky, right to the floor. I can't tell what it is, but do you know?" Patch pushed it closer to Conch, and instantly it became clear. As he rolled it, it revealed a fuse. Shatter gasped. "BOMB!" He shrieked, before running away to a nearby rock, and taking shelter. Patch rolled it down another hill, and it went next to the wall nearby. Conch and Patch made it next to Shatter, before a deafening BOOM came from the bomb. The whole cave shook, but nothing else happened. Shatter sighed, and Coral jumped up instantly to check the damage. Patch peeked out of their spot, his eyes wide. Coral came back, shaking their head. "Nothing too severe, but we might have to be careful from now on, the shaking may have caused other things to break." They reported, and everyone nodded. In that moment, Arrzayli, Kelp Fisher, and Pirate Eel all came rushing over. "What. Was. That." Kelp Fisher said first, eyes wide and shock clear on their face. Far above them, Pearl, Olive, and Chalupa had gathered around a flimsy looking bridge. It was the only way across this chasam, but they weren't sure it would hold. Olive looked to the bottom, to no avail though, because it was too deep to see. Pearl shuffled her paws. "One of us has to go... Otherwise we're stuck here." She sighed, looking at the broken rope they used to get up here, that finally snapped. They had to, since their only way down was gone. Olive stood up. "I'll go!" She announced proudly, grinning. "Really? Are yous sure? Chalupa tilted their head. "Yep! We'll never get anywhere if I don't do it, will we?" Pearl nodded, and Chalupa slowly joined. Olive took a deep breath, before stepping onto the first board. A horrible creaking noise came, making everyone flinch. Olive took the next step, but no noise came. Surprisingly, it was creepier than when there was noise. A few more steps and complete silence. "Be careful!" Chalupa called. "It looks safe! I think I'll go right after." Pearl said, looking towards Olive intently. Olive looked around. "It definitely feels safe! Just the chasam is-" and before she could finish, a deafening BOOM came, and caused Olive to jump. She managed to hold on by the rope, but the vibration caused the bridge to snap in half, sending her plummeting down the chasam. "OLIVE!" Chalupa and Pearl said in sync, looking down. The only thing they could hear was the echo of her shriek. Arrzayli, Kelp Fisher, Patch, and Pirate Eel were all exploring together again, chatting softly about the bomb. And hour had passed since then, and over time they felt more and more lost. Patch jumped up on top of a rock, looking back at Arrzayli and Kelp Fisher.
"Come on guys! We just need to keep going, we'll find a way out!" Patch said, slightly tripping over his own peg leg. "...Why does the rock look so... Fake?" Arrzayli asked, putting their paw on it. Patch stepped forward, and it teetered, his weight causing it to tip forward. Patch tripped, falling to the floor, and the rock came crashing down on top of him. But, after a bit of silence, he stood up. "... It's not even that heavy, like hardened foam." He looked back, to see he was being completely ignored. "What's wrong?" He asked, and when he looked around the not rock, he gasped. "A chest!" Pirate Eel said, quickly taking it out. "We'll open it on the ship, first we have to find everyone else." Kelp Fisher said, dusting the old wood. "Now, we just need to FIND everyone." Pearl had managed to finally make it down, and rushed to where they saw Olive last. They found Albatross, and explained everything, and they instantly agreed to help the search. The light of an odd glow in the dark moss guided them, into a mossy clearing. There stood So. Many. Axolotls. "... THEY'RE SO CUTE!" Albatross couldn't hold it in. "Yeah they are!" A voice echoed in the distance, that sounded oddly familiar. A shadowy figure approached, and as they entered the light, it revealed it was Olive, holding a baby axolotl. "OLIVE!" Pearl jumped. "I've been looking all over for you! Me and Chalupa we're terrified!" "Oh, actually I fell, and I landed in that pond off in the distance! The axolotls saved me! I've been here for an hour, in fact they had a baby!" Olive put the baby in front of Albatross, who took them in their paws. "They're so cute!" Albatros said, raising the baby to the, what would be, sky. "Oh, where is Chalupa?" Olive asked, tilting her head. "Oh, they should be telling everyone else ti search for you, and should show up soon. If they found everyone." Then, the sound of paws hitting the stone floor echoed, as everybody showed up, with Chalupa in the lead. "OLIVE!" Chalupa yelped. "You're o... Are those Axolotls?" "Yep!" Olive grinned, setting the baby on the floor. "We don't have time, Raven and Coral said they took a crown off a pedestal, and I think that's why the bomb fell. There might be more coming, but we aren't sticking around to see. Conch said, and most everyone else nodded. "Well, guess it's time to go." As they went back up, and entered their ship once more, they hauled up the chest, which was surprisingly heavy. Patch was trembling with excitement, as they got it right in the middle of the deck. Coral stepped forward, trying to lift it... But it was locked. "What? It musy he heavy, here let me help." Albatros said, quickly trying to lift it too. "It's locked!" Coral cried. "Wait, look! Wedged inside it!" Arrzayli pointed out, grabbing the piece of paper. "It's... A map!" Kelp Fisher declared. "Really?! Okay, now we really have to beat out the other pirates, this treasure is OURS!"
