SOU 4501 is a MS Class 2-8-2 Built in the October of 1911 By the BLW Locomotive works it was the earliest if the SOU 2-8-2's and served a long career on the SOU When the SOU "gave up" On steam SOU 4501 was sold to a kentucky shortline where it worked for a decade as simply known as number 12 When the shortline was looking for new engines SOU sold them two EMD GP7's and 4501 was given back to SOU for exclusion service. 4501 would later be sold to TVRM where it runs today occasionally still doing runs with NS.
