This is insane, absolutely insane. I had given multiple warnings about the miniscule amount of blood that had been showcased at the end. Scratch thought that this project was "violent" or "scary" because of some topics. I will not deny that animal cruelty and over hunting aren't disturbing topics for some viewers even adults. What's even worse was that this project was for a school assignment and scratch team had taken it down. I honestly respect st for doing their best and keeping the community safe but come on, this project was to spread awareness about a serious issue. And in my school report I had written and I quote: "7- Will my video include facts or opinions? My video will include facts. I want the audience to see the truth of how it really is, and understand the problems and the impact. Everyone needs to come to the same conclusion/understanding as then we can form a common solution together, as a society. I plan to make my video emotional, but not with opinions. Facts of the situation are emotional enough." Does this mean that ST are trying to shield kids from the truth? The reality? Even though I admit, it's harsh, kids need to know whats happening at least when they reach a certain age. I want a petition signed for a "Scratch senior" or something like that. Just like there is scratch junior, there should be a more advanced coding/animation system with older people from the ages of maybe 13 and up. Me and along with many many other scratchers that are leaving because of this issue (3 of my favorite scratch artists) because scratch takes down their work that they used to express themselves and what they are happy with. What if you put in all the work and effort on a project you are really happy with only to have scratch team take it down. It'll make you feel sad, even worried or upset. I wont glide over the fact that young kids are on scratch, but that doesnt take away the fact that there are older kids here also. Scratch should at least put an age rating on their projects. for example before sharing a project we put in what age group should view it and based on that scratch can restrict access. The older scratch community should deserve some freedom.
