Instructions

Welcome back to SMDolor Trio: The Dark Virus. 2 years after the last encounter, our hero, Super Nathen decides to visit his old friend, Kevin. Little does he know that he's about to make a grave mistake... 3rd Time's the charm, ey Kevin? Press Z to advance the text and X to skip it if you're on PC or tap on the screen if you're on mobile. Yep, here's number 3... That means more cutscenes for me to make. Yay... Alright, so to be completely honest, when I first saw the announcement project that @mariobros6666 made (https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/882510624/), I couldn't help but chuckle to myself because of this one phrase: "I hope you are ready for more pain @Steeve2007 B)" So why am I even mentioning this? Well, it's due to the mental state that I often find myself in when working on this series... To put it simply: I fall under pressure when working on these cutscenes. Now to exlain further, I'm a bit of a perfectionist who likes to his time when making projects. What I mean by that is that I hyperfocus on small details and change little bits of a project until it meets my personnal bar of quality. All of this while slowly inching towards the release of said project. When I work on these cutscenes, Nathen often asks for progress updates (a little to often for my liking). Because of that I start speeding up and feeling pressured to be able to make significant progress on a project. However, I still try to meet my bar of quality which causes me to slow down developpement and feel even MORE pressured. And here's the worst part: I'm sure that Nathen is willing to let me slow down and perfect a project. Which means that I'm pressuring myself for no reason! All of this to say that I might stop working on this series in the future. Keep in mind,---this isn't Nathen's fault---, but due to the pressure that I put on myself every time I work on one of these cutscenes, I would like to retain the possibility of no longer making these cutscenes in the future... That DOES NOT mean that I'm quitting right now though! Just that if I feel that my mental health is being damaged by the pressure that I put on myself, then I will quit. And that's all I have to say, thank you for reading this big wall of text and I hope that you can understand where I'm coming from. ---Steeve2007
