Click the green flag and watch as the Cyan, Magenta and Yellow bugs combine into a bug of many colors. Take a look inside to see what is going on :)
❖ ❖ ❖ What is CMY? ❖ ❖ ❖ If you're not familiar with color mixing, check out the following projects: Color Illusions (Part 1): https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/550756447/ Color Illusions (Part 2): https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/551106266/ RGB Monitor Simulator: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/552549282/ Additive & Subtractive Color Simulation: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/408617659/ ❖ ❖ ❖ How was it made? ❖ ❖ ❖ I downloaded the image (Ladybug2 from the Scratch library) and opened it in Photoshop. Then I used the color picker on each color. In Photoshop, the color values are displayed in multiple color models, including CMYK, so I simply noted the C, M and Y values. I then used TurboWarp to create three copies of the bug costume - one for each color channel. In the first one, I set the color to cyan, and the transparency (unlike Scratch, TurboWarp has a transparency slider) to the value I noted in Photoshop. And I did the same thing with the M and Y channel costumes. I actually did some editing of the vector paths as well, making sure that there were no overlapping fills, but I won't go into detail about that. Although the color mixing in the project is only an approximation of CMY, the thumbnail is actual CMY color mixing. I made it in Photoshop.
