What is theorized had brung down the empire was a mixture of warfare, technological stagnation and regression, food, water, and essential supply shortages, and many other things. However, we do know the empire had collapsed, and states arisen in its place, and that was the first in a sequence of events to reunite the empire. <[UNIFICATION_CAMPAIGNS]> The [REUNIFICATION_CAMPAIGNS]> began off slowly, as the strongest states conquered and united, eventually culminating in thousands of tiny states, and in the few strong states' struggle to uphold order, they had united for a common cause, to unite and upkeep order. Most campaigns are of no note, as small states were swept aside, and larger states taken down by numbers and tactics. However, these battles are also what shaped the major economy of the V.A into a permanent wartime economy, with vast industrial sectors, factory worlds, and a deep military industrial complex, as the prior economies were too weak to sustain eternal warfare. <[BEYOND_THE_VEIL]> Through arduous campaigns throughout the home universe, it'd toughened up and helped the empire perfect many of its strategies, vessel designs, and ability to wage warfare. Despite that, claiming the home universe as their own did not satisfy the older states united, as many records told of many universes above and below, once part of the empire.
