hiii :D wow feels like we’ve been gone forever but we do have this small offering to make while we’re gone- anyways, see u all again soon :> hello, hello!! here comes another of our famous/infamous??? redraws!! :D this one’s traditional, but I had so much fun doing it and liked how it turned out so much that I just had to post it- I’m sure there’s a digital version of the original somewhere but I just can’t find it ,, I’ve scoured my procreate but no dice :< also side note sorry for AWFUL quality idk what scratch was thinking sob anyways, tap space or click to flip between the versions and stages of this piece!! 1 - this is the original, completed around june 2020 I believe 2 - my new sketch ! 3 - lineart. for this I used india inks and a dip pen because I knew I wanted a lot of line width variation, since that was something lacking in the original. pretty happy with this, like how the wing is stylized, particularly on the right one on the page; not overly fond of the hands but at least I drew them lol 4 - final!! after seeing the hatching of the original (and being utterly confused as to why I did lineart and then didn’t color it?) I decided I wanted to add some depth and value while still keeping it greyscale as sort of an homage to the original - I pulled out my watercolors (which I am severly unpracticed at lol,, if u have any tips please lmk!) and smuged around the black one with varying amounts of water to get this!! very glad I did this step, I think it looks so much better, and it kind of gives off greek statue vibes which is so fitting for these characters :D so, yeah! 3 years later and it’s looking a LOT better. really enjoyed this and I hope you like it! - credits - art: moi characters: moi et @--apricity-- music: we’re still here by SAL
