After catching the plague, you should only remember your immediate family. Nyx didn’t remember anything. The only things he knew were among these: -This necklace was something to be protected, and never lost. -There is a nasty plague haunting his species, and he has just caught it, so he will be persecuted. -His duty as a Raiko (the plagued) was to spread the disease. But he didn’t really want to. This is what Nyx was unique for. Almost every Raiko documented was a hostile creature that resembled little to nothing of who they once were. But then again… Nyx didn’t remember anything. So he was left to protect himself against his own species, and their plagued. This would prove harder than he thought. He never made contact with the uninfected of his species, just in case his instincts would kick in, and he did his best to avoid other Raiko. Several times, he made contact unintentionally, and was chased away after getting beat up like the little weakling he is- (anyways…) It was in these tough times when he found a true friend, Atari. After being chased away by a mosquito (lol) Nyx stumbled into a clearing. There was another Raiko laying in the shade of a tree. This was Atari. Atari glanced over at Nyx, and there was some connection between the two of them, telling each other that neither were hostile. He saw that Atari was breathing heavily, so he asked about it and found out that Atari has been infected long before him, and just like everyone else, the plague was taking its toll on him. He had black splotches spreading across his skin by the day, just like Nyx would later. Of course Nyx knew this, and knew what happened when the black took over your body. Nyx and Atari became inseparable that day. Necklace lore???
