My entry for Round three. I apologize for it taking so long, I restarted my drawing six times and finished this illustration in about three days. The character’s face was what was important this time, as that is what immediately let you know that this was a some sort of vampire or demon. With my other pieces, the background was what let you know that the setting was vintage or magical. I was thinking of drawing Medusa at first, but I wanted to stick to the theme of drawing my sona. While he does canonically have wounds in his face which expose teeth and muscles. They are not nearly as large or noticeable as those depicted in the current drawing. So I really just wanted everything to be a bit exaggerated. I’m also a fan of the many pupils inside of the eyes as well as the blood. I can draw blood more realistically than that, but because I was working with a pallet it looks a bit more pink. The teeth look pretty okay too :) I was thinking of making a short story about this man of myth, however I realized that I didn’t have enough time or energy to do so. But the basics of it were; There’s a guy that lives in the mountains north of Ggoggstedshire who, whenever one enters his cave, k1lls. His kill style is combined with the techniques of several mythological creatures and legends, including draining blood (vampires), mutilation of the face (a *lot* of creatures in folklore do this), and hanging up the corpse as if it were a bat (reference to the urban legend of the bunny man, but twisted as a nod to the fact that Sawa is part bat). I was going to use canon places such as Ggoggstedshire to tell the story, however none of the myth was actually canon aside from there being mentions of necromancy and a rumor that the creature had once been a resident of G.G.S.S. Bro also has teeth earrings, go off I guess. This design probably has more details than my last two for this contest, which is surprising because it’s not a fullbody shot.
