☆☆ HAHA bet you never thought you'd see me post again and it being an animation I did ON MY ON FOR MYSELF AND FINISHED SORTA ☆ Anyway this is a scene from my novel!! In animation!!! which is very cool to me!!! The 12 y/o fellow asking about the picture is Fred (Fredrick TECHICALLY but he's never ever called that) Burns, and the man he's asking is Lawrence Farrow, his caretaker (for the time being). Theres some stuff here but i wont spoil it all ahah just a snippet ☆☆ I tilted my head a little, taking a better look at the people in the image. “I know this one,” I pointed, careful not to touch the glass, “is you.” I glanced at him for see if he’d deny it, and when he didn’t I kept speaking. “But who are the other people?” Lawrence sighed, his body facing me but his face fixed on the photo. “That…” he lifted a hand, gently touching the glass in front of the woman’s face. She stood beside him in the photo, his arm around her side. “That’s Ethel.” He said her name as if there was magic in it. I nodded encouragingly, watching her face as if it might move and nod back. “She was my wife.” I stared at her for a moment longer and then took a small step back, confused. “You’re married?” I breathed, trying to make this fit with the narrative of everything I knew about Lawrence already. Now that knowledge didn’t seem like much. “I was.” Lawrence corrected sharply, and my gaze thudded to the floor. A beat passed with silence. Then I spoke. “Who’s…” I let my eyes wander back to the photo and pointed out a little boy, standing in front of Lawrence. “Who’s this?” Lawrence joined me in watching the little boy. His head was covered in dark curls like mine and green eyes like Lawrence’s. He looked happy. “Basil.” He said, another name spoken as if it were gold. “That was my son.” His voice faltered a little on the last bit. Was.
