The Hardest Apprenticeship “Three kits. Two girls, one boy.” Dawnleap said affectionately to her mate Falconshade. He smiled as he patted them on the head. “I'll be happy if I can name the boy.” She nodded and he whispered quietly. “Meadowkit.” The kits hadn’t even opened up their eyes yet the one now named Medowkit stood up and meowed, pawing at the air trying to find out who was there. Dawnleap pushed him gently back down. “There. Meadowkit, Cloudkit, Softkit. The newest kits in Riverclan.” Five and a half moons later “I’ll race you!” Cloudkit happily bumped into Medowkit, trying to get his attention. He never opened his eyes when he was a tiny kit, so it was hard to get his attention. “To where? “ He tilted his head. She laughed. “To the swimming puddle silly! It rained!” he nodded and Cloudkit tapped her paw on the ground three times and the two took off. Meadowkit was very fast and muscular for a kit and beat Cloudkit by two taillengths. “Cheater!” “What?” Softkit was already there. She was sitting in the puddle, playing with one of the water spiders that was dumb enough to get in the puddle that the kits played in. “Hi guys!! Do you want to hear what I heard?” The two nodded. “Because of the lack of warriors, they’re doing apprenticeships sooner!” She splashed around in joy. “We might be apprentices tomorrow!”
It's short but oh well. Here it is!
