THIS IS A RARE FIND!! Hitachi is very rare in SC, and I am surprised to find one in good condition. Despite these being from the 1980's they were refurbished in the 2000's. The motor is really good, however the elevator is having issues. The car keep rattling it's way up the shaft, and has loud door locks. At least it's still got oil... This sadly is about to be replaced because it is nearly 40 years old, and isn't ADA compliant. The replacement elevator will be TKE Endura MR. Most of the other Hitachi Hydros in this terminal were modded to TKE Endura MRs or were replaced by MEI. This elevator just goes from Departures to the T2 Airtram station.
