Instructions

Instructions: Click on Comet, the bird, to view the music score (deep fried quality sorry it's not exactly readable) and click on the 'X' button to close it. Otherwise you can just enjoy the music. Click or space to change pages. Note: the piece has two sections and the first section is kind of boring, so. If you want to go inside the project and skip to the second part that's completely up to you ==== Okay so this is a VERY different project to what you would normally expect of me- but anyways- ==== I was supposed to work on a string quartet composition BUT- I got bored, and gave up half way through the second movement. So my chaotic brain decided to pick up another project, and here it is! This is purely experimental and it is a solo piano piece with two different sections. Also my first time composing for solo piano. ==== I was inspired by Debussy's Clair de Lune and Arabesque No 1. (go give em a listen!) and thus, you can hear a little bit of the triplet polyrhthms included in the second section. I was also working to incorporate a certain style of modulation (in short, a key change) and I enjoyed playing around with the dominant relationship between F major and B flat major (not my favourite keys but eh-) Also chords. A lot of the first section is basically just me doing some chord study and seeing what progressions could fit and couldn't. The dynamics and the articulation is pretty bland but- I'm leaving creative liberty up to the performer, especially the pedals and the rits. ==== This took a surprisingly long time (I'm actually a VERY FAST composer) but it was definitely fun to muck around with the notes for a bit! I will also try and finish and release the quartet composition as well. ==== Anyways, if you actually want a playable score, here's the clearer set of files you can use (but please credit me for the sheet music if you plan to use it): https://sta.sh/2wfokwc6dua?edit=1 (note: there's a mistake on the third page, instead of the bottom G in the d minor chord leading up to the ending it should be an A) you are welcome to sightread or learn it. I don't really mind. ====
