please read the update log below these credits credits:griffpatch for the following tutorial playlists Code a Platformer Game Griffpatch's Epic Multiplayer Tutorial this game originated from the very very VERY first time i tried this and utterly FAILED now i check and rewrite the code if it doesn't work at that time i was at ep1 and i failed and gave up for months then i retried it and this was it's result same went for the online engine update log ---------------------------------0.1------------------------------------ game was posted on 7/28/2023 ------------------------notes-for----0.2----------------------------- a bug where an extra player would join instead of recycling the empty slot resulting in inactive players forever stuck there (please note this will be resolved in the next update) --------------------------------0.2------------------------------------- updated the online engine to work ------------------------------0.3--------------------------------------- fixed a bug where the player would wall jump being on the floor and touch the wall ------------------------------0.4--------------------------------------- fixed a bug where when you reach ten or higher ten score or number after reseting or respawning you get a null number a number that looks like it there but it's not ---------------------------0.5------------------------------------------ added a variable to keep track of how many players are online ---------------------------0.6------------------------------------------ added a new panel next to the inventory that allows you to teleport to spawn and other things like flags also your latest teleport location will be your respawn point resets after clicking the green flag to restart the game --------------------------0.7------------------------------------------- added the conveyer belt - moves your player a bug where the one-way platforms cannot be landed on and wall jumping + going up a scene doesn't work ---------------------------------0.8------------------------------------bug fixes: complete introducing worlds: portals teleport you between worlds like the one in progress: industrial world except i needed to do bug fixes first so it delayed it you can see it in the test zone before i put it in the conveyer in world stand1-norm aka the main world but in code it will be called that added music progress on the industrial world: made a system that took long littaraly because i forgot to set my world to factor1-norm (slaps head) and it would be a lag machine and now it teleports you to scene 1000 which doesn't exist if you look in the level sprite and costumes not a single one has a scene1000 name (the system of it: join scene and scene # switch costume to join scene scene #) and yes it makes the portal clone (the walk through part) dissapear adding hearts (restores/adds lifes) updated the soundtrack so it doesn't take so long for the music to play made it so when entering portal your portal is malfuntioned (and temporarily showed some veriables) added scene 999 and the brand new life collectable updated the first costume the industrial world (scene 1000 to be more spacific and a tiny detail on scene999 that connets a strut from scene1000) updated scene999's costume (with a new sprite the world assets:industrial world containing all of the things that will be used in the industrial world [almost completed sprite]) created a background for the industrial world - 1/30/24 made a glitched flag for when your inside a world - 1/30/24 added 2 trampolines to scene998 - 1/30/24 finished 0.8. 0.9 will be a bugfix update for the portal ---------------------------------0.9------------------------------------ completed bugfix for portal (for the most part [edit: i completely fixed the bug for the portal] ) added fall dash feature (down arrow or s) on jump through parts added counter to players online variable fixed a bug where the player's tp's would still be disabled after exiting the industrial world also counting as a 2 in 1 bug fix since it fixed another problem (or the cause of the bug) the world was set to stand1-norm not factor1-norm when exiting or dying so after exiting it would be set to factor1-norm instead of stand1-norm made the TP flags panel bigger fixed flags added the long awaited level -1/gray added useable life (only one is currently located at the industrial world) ---------------------------------0.9.1---------------------------------- (accidentally deleted =( ) ---------------------------------0.9.2---------------------------------- updated the game by griffpatch's new bonus episode 15 ---------------------------0.9.7-in development------------------ this update's huge. it will introduce a new level editor and completly overhaul the levels by turning the levels into tile-based levels
