Space to change slides. This is a rework I made for @ATimeTraveller_ Here are the changes I've made and their purpose for being made: 1. The OC Redesign - When I saw your character, I just couldn't resist making him look cooler. 2. Style Mechanic Rework - The concept of your character having a special gauge is great, but I felt it could be greater. I've tweaked it so that all attacks you hit will build up your style, but not by a full stack. I've also added a decay function to it to incentivize an aggressive playstyle, making it like a combo meter in a way. Furthermore, I made it so that the style breaks right when you get knocked down; It's not very stylish to fall over. Lastly, I made it affect blocking too, since it's more of a defensive buff. 3. Renaming attacks - Some of them just sounded like a really powerful special attack rather than a basic move. Also might've been confusing for people learning the moveset; There were similar names for very different attacks. I didn't really change much names though. 4. Input Combination Changes - I wasn't a big fan of the repetition on the simple two key combo, so I tried changing some of them to give some variety. 5. Special Attacks - Considering special attacks be a big part in style, there simply needed to be more. The strongest one gets it's own special cutscene that I'll have to get good at animating to make. 6. Shield - Since it's basically a buff rather than a block, I figured it'd be a great use of style. Due to the ability where it grants defense in exchange for style, you have options for your play style. You'd be able to go for an offensive nature where you get risky in order to deal massive damage, or choose to sacrifice attacking power for a safe and defensive battle. 7. Visual effects - Attacks will look much cooler when I use Scratch's particle system, a great system for adding particles to your game in Scratch! Jokes aside, my particle effects can spice really spice things up. Please let me know if you like all of these changes, or tell me which ones need work. Note that some of these changes might have to be tweaked in order to achieve better results.
