I don't think any of you know how I actually found the JSAB community. It has been my main source of inspiration for projects and art ever since I created this account. So, here's how I got into it. It all started about 2 years ago when I was in 7th grade. I was just chilling on the playground at school talking to my friend. (We'll call them Chris for now.) We were talking about our plans for the weekend and he mentioned a cool game he was gonna play. I asked him what game, and he said "Just Shapes And Beats." I had no idea what it was at the time, so I asked what it was. Chris got all excited and wanted to tell me all about it. We spent the next 3 days talking about the game's storyline and music. I actually got interested by the story and decided to look some playthroughs up on YouTube. Needless to say, I was very happy with what I saw. I had never seen anything like it before. I remember getting excited over how well the animations sync with the amazing music and not being able to look away from the beautiful scenes and adorable characters. I was surprised that someone could tell such an emotional and detailed story just by using simple, non talking shapes. I watched the playthroughs over and over again and played the music from the soundtrack on repeat for the next month straight. JSAB is actually the thing that got me into EDM music. Well, after a while, I started to get curious. I was really invested in Pokémon comics at the time and I was wondering if anyone had made JSAB comics. As soon as I pressed the search button on YouTube, I saw 2 top results. One of them was an amazing series called "Close To Your Heart." The other was the well known and well loved series called "The Pink Corruption." I got into CTYH first. I loved it so much and still continue to watch it to this day. I suggest you look it up. You won't be disappointed. After I had read through all of the available CTYH pages, I got into TPC. Although I didn't like it as much as CTYH, I still love it so much. The characters are so cute and the way the dialogue is shown is very unique and creative. I was left begging for more after every episode. I started to imagine my own stories and AUs and make up my own characters. However, I was too scared to actually tell anyone else about it or draw my characters because I was scared that everyone would think I'm a weirdo. Going into the 8th grade, I found it harder to make friends. I wasn't able to connect with anyone because nobody else liked what I liked. I didn't want to be viewed at the weirdo, nerd, or geek, so I just kind of sat in the corner and kept to myself. Well, Chris saw this and recommended something to me. He showed me Scratch, a website where I could make anything I want with code and sprites and share it with a community around the world that I would be able to connect with. I checked to see if anyone here enjoyed JSAB, and sure enough, hundreds if not THOUSANDS of you do! So, I created an account and got to work. I was scared to post at first because I thought people wouldn't like my art. However, once I got into it, I couldn't stop! That led to me making characters, writing my own stories, connecting with others just like me, and growing my art and experience in a way I never though was possible. And now, I'm here. It feels like I finally found my people. You guys are like a second family to me. I don't know where I would be today without all of you guys. From the bottom of my heart, thank all of you for your continued love and support. It means more to me than you could ever imagine.
