:mindboom: i drew this completely on magma the ultimate redesign lol his new backstory’ll be posted here soon edit: heres the basics copy-pasted from a text to my friend what i came up with was that his mom died during birth which turned his already stoic dad (who was kinda strict and aloof but loved his mate a lot because that was all he had to live for anymore) cold and hard and neglectful towards his son, who he had already doubted the capabilities of as he was somehow born during leafbare (winter) and survived. as the moons went on his dad grew more rebellious towards their perfectly fine clan leader for being too ‘soft/understanding/helping’ towards the other clans and started a small band of cats his age to rebel against the leader so they were exiled. hawkpaw constantly got bitter looks and mothers kept their kits away from him, even though he tried twice as hard as an apprentice only to get half as far. the deputy was a very superstitious cat who wormed their way into the leader’s head and convinced them to exile hawk too/he was socially exiled and left also the feather tucked into his ruff was his mother’s before she died and his aunt (who was a good soul and often tended to him but was very frail and got mean looks) held onto it and gave it to him before he was forced to leave (i had to keep some edgy cringe in there) space/tap to see the old version of him (colored in on a base)
