OMG GUYS I HAD SO MUCH FUNNNN So for context, I went to a very prestigious over-night science camp! I had to get nominated by my teacher, write an essay, fill out a form, and go to an interview to get in. I was also sponsored so Im like super special guys. (I've picked up saying "guys" a lot so imagine I'm saying it in a very high-pitched voice.) Anyway!!!!!! Lemme give yall a rundown of what happened this past week! Sunday- I arrived and my roommate arrived way later. We were given a schedule and what floor we were on. We lived in a college dorm with a roommate for a week. I was on the first floor, there were two other floors. We also got super good college cafeteria food. Monday- We started our days at 6:00- went to breakfast at 7: and then went to our core class- thats the class we picked for the week. I stayed in my amazing moons class for 3 hours then went about my day. I became super popular very quickly because of my beef with the dorm leader and my HUMOR. Tuesday- basic day. Nothing happened. I made friends lol Wednesday- FIELD TRIP DAY AND BOI DO I GOT A STORY FOR U We went to gig harbor wild watch first for marine biology stuffff. That went fine, but two of my friends "held up the bus" because they had to go to the bathroom. They were also with two very capable adults so there were safe. So went to the flight & space museum. (I'm a HUGE space and flight nerd.) We had 1 hour to free roam with our groups of 5. My dorm leader went with my group- (shes like old too so she struggled) She stopped all five of us then began chewing out the two girls who "Held up the bus". She kept on saying they didn't do anything wrong...THEN PROCEEDED TO SAY THEY WERE WRONG. They were about to cry. They didn't deserve this and they were so nice! So I stood up for them. I talked back, our dorm leader ignored me and then finished chewing out the girls. She asked if I wanted to say anything, she didn't expect ,me to answer but I did. I talked to back to her for a good 3 minutes. so fun Then later on, a teacher laid her hands on me. We had finished our tour with 20 minutes left. So I asked the tour guide a question while we walked. One of the other teachers told me it was time to go. So I said goodbye to the guide and the teacher apparently didn't like that because she GRABBED MY SHIRT!!!!!!! The rest of the week I was singled out by my dorm leader and we hardly interacted with each other. BUT BUT BUT BUT Thursday was professional women's night! Professional women who worked in a stem field, or in the military, came to talk to us about their jobs. Two women in the military came and I literally FREAKED. A helicopter pilot and a warrant officer talked to me and I was so happy! Talking to them re-ignited my passion and dream of becoming one of the first female united states green barretts! (The U.S's highest ranking special forces unit, it is also SUPER difficult to get into) SOOO I got them to write me notes to put on my wall, Space or click to see. On Friday I got to build a settlement on Jupiter's moon Io out of trash! It was super fun! I made a giant dome named GUYS. Everyone loved guys. But that's just a little recap of what happened :) best week EVER
