Rules ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ People will be divided into a bracket, and will face off with one another to make an Undertale fangame. To keep things simplistic, most of the fangames will be genocide fights of Sans and other AUs, since there are more than enough engines for new creators to use, making it the easiest for people who want to join this for fun! 1. Each matchup between two participants will have a unique prompt. If it's a specific character, a specific mechanic, or a specific AU. Both participants will be making a game following the same prompt, to see who comes out on top. 2. Each game will be judged based on a few factors. How unique is it? Can it be no-hit? How well does it follow the prompt? Each fight can be a turn-based system like normal Undertale, or it can be a no-turn fight that syncs with music like the original Bad Time Trio!. However the fight is made, it doesn't deduct points. 3. Each matchup will be given between 1-2 weeks to create their games. That way the games don't end up as big as a full game, but it should be long enough that you can sit down and play it for a bit and enjoy yourself! At the end of the time for creating, both projects will need to posted and shared to be judged against one another.
There isn't any kind of reward for participating or even winning. This is a way to show off the collaborative efforts of the community, and to let smaller creators shine bright and get some recognition. Even if you've never made a game before, now would be a great place to start. I'm sure the rest of the people participating would love to help you in any way, including myself!
