Quite a lot, actually. More than she ever could have imagined, so... much... more. What just... happened? The faint evening light dwindled, making way for the black tones of night. With a giddy leap in her steps, Beastlyrose was the definition of sunlight, the last ray of light that dared to shine in the foggy twilight. Her adoring moon had just asked her to meet them at their treasured peach tree at dusk just a few hours ago, and the thought of meeting her beloved awakened a childish side in the lovely little kitty as she frisked over to the two's secret spot. But the puppet show had other plans for the loves. Night had just befallen upon the radiant sun and her light struggled to stay afloat about on the drowning seas that surrounded Lie. But there was something that caught her attention. A frail little lump on the desert sand, barely more than just a small sand dune. Come, the skies whispered. Come, the clouds hummed. Come, her moon said at last. So always the obedient felidae, Beastlyrose trotted to the scene of the crime and started to investigate. The lump had been recognised by her as a poor little kitty, looking to have suffered from a fatal rattlesnake bite. The chocolate warrior felt her heart throb for the dead kitty just for a moment before -- She knew that fur pattern. She knew that pretty little tail that she loved to teasingly intertwine around her own just to annoy them. She knew those rounded ears that she loved to bop just for fun. She knew those currently dead, lifeless eyes that belonged to Eveningsnooze. Wait... what? There was absolutely no way. There was no way this was their beloved Eggy, the one who had seemed so full of life ( as far as they were concerned ) just hours ago, just minutes, just seconds... What... happened to them? Beastlyrose could feel the tidal wave of heartbreak and devastation and... and confusion. But she pushed all the emotions back, swallowing instead. She was not going to cry. She had nothing left to cry, anyway. First, her crocodile tears gone away on Laughingmenace before she healed... for a bit. Then, her tears gone on her lovely sister Treasure__, a feeling that was once again gone after a while. Then it was Questduel. Her cries were too much after that, an aching pain that only an older sister could feel for her lovely little brother. She was not ready to cry again. So with her tears held back and heart split into two, the werewolf warrior trekked through the sand dunes and the oasis lakes carrying Eveningsnooze's body on her frail back before she finally gave out, just underneath the peach tree that she shared with her one love. The twilight hours succumbed to the dead undertones of night, and by that point Bea was still digging, digging a grave under the peachy hill for her one and only moon. Finally, the evening goddess's final resting spot was finished, and the gentle sunflower queen laid her beloved under the peach tree, gently closing the moon's eyes. And under the peach tree, there was a lifeless moon and the sun, who was losing her light as she finally started to cry, her tears bittersweet as she tucked the sun's beloved moon fast asleep. And as the evening goddess drifted to sleep, the sunflowers finally started to bloom. Goodnight, Eveningsnooze. May you have the sweetest of dreams tonight. I... I love you. ☾ --- ☽
