Hydro Pods are 1-4 foot tall organisms with a trio of hydraulic legs supporting their water-storing bell. They have no brain, heart, or blood, like an Earth Jellyfish, and rely purely on instincts to survive, like a cactus they store water and other nutrient-rich substances in their bell and travel in massive colonies of up to hundreds of thousands of individuals in their annual migrations. They live in the desert and are predated upon many other organisms as a source of hydration. Once winter arrives in the desert, they must migrate to the volcanic-heated caves to escape the water in their bell from freezing, thus killing them. They filter nutrients from the water they store and once their water source has no more nutrients, hundreds of thousands of them will shoot out all their water at once, creating a short rain in the desert. If they are k!lled, their remains will sprout a larva, which will grow back into an adult, which is why predators don't eat the remains, just the water, so it can grow into more prey. The largest adults can carry gallons of water and interestingly, the colonies that live in jungles have an algae-like organism growing in their bell which they chase the sun across the plains to give these algae-like creatures sunlight in exchange for nutrients made by the algae. They are an interesting species and have unique ways of surviving on Teraminos.
