This week, it seems that I have tackled too many deadlined projects at once and am now losing a painful battle between my common sense and my desire to produce content. But I did anyways. :skull: This caused me to have an idea overload, but at the same time, I feel like I did very little with this entry. I probably could have leaned into the “dark magic” theme a bit more, because now Sawa looks like a Genshin Impact OC. :’) I also redid the sketch and pose at least four times, so eventually I just settled for an open half body pose. The outfit was quite simple, similarly to the background, but I think that it turned out well nonetheless. Speaking of which, I have no clue what happened with the background lmno. If I’m going to be honest, I just started adding stuff until it looked okay. Again, I feel like I could have done more with it. Rendering was more fun than usual, probably because the outfit was simpler and didn’t include vastly varying colors. In addition, I also had fun slapping little drawings of skulls and candles everywhere just because I felt like it. After some editing, it doesn’t look half bad! Look at those hophead glasses. LOOK AT THEM. Originally I was just going to slap on some downloaded textures and filters to make them look interesting, but I couldn’t because I was on a plane with weak Wi-Fi. So instead, I made the textures and colors myself. It honestly ended up better than I thought that it would. I am fond of the finished product, however as I mentioned before, I could have done more with it. I still had a lot of fun, though! Fun fact; the original image took over 200 LAYERS to make, but I condensed them into a little over 100 layers. Thanks to the contest hosts; @Mystic-Landscape, @pesto-sauce, and @BlueNoodle29.
