Select initial sheep (white), wolves (black), and grass. Find conditions supporting sheep and wolves survival. Wolves eat neighboring sheep and reproduce there. Wolves die without sheep. Sheep eat neighboring grass and reproduce there. Sheep die without grass.
Simple predator-prey ecosystem. There's negative feedback: After sheep increase, wolves increase briefly, but then sheep decrease, followed by decreased wolves.
