The AC embassy located in what is now the Naidun Union came under siege by a local militia mostly composed of veterans of the Naidun War, which was fueled by AC among others. SATO QRF forces based in DRB were tasked with recovering the ambassador and has staff. A company of AC Marines, a platoon of Umbran Special Operators, and a platoon of DRB Special Operators were dispatched within an hour of the attack, and arrived approximately 2 hours later. Umbran Special Operators made the initial landing, quickly securing a landing zone for the remaining Umbran forces and AC marines. DRB forces attempted to rope onto the roof of the embassy and secure the top floors, and once linked up with AC/UR forces, execute a pincer maneuver though the building, however a MANPAD missile of unknown origin stuck one of the DRB helicopters, cutting their force in half, and forcing the remaining DRB forces to execute evasive maneuvers. As AC/UR forces made their way to the rear entrance, they came under fire by more militia members, and well as possibly Naidun police. The force of 137 AC/UR operators was quickly pinned down by armor, and it took half and hour to successfully counter attack and destroy the attacking force. Once the force reached the rear entrance, they linked up with remaining DRB forces who had set up a medical station inside the cleared out first level of the Embassy. They had sustained heavy casualties upon reaching the crashed helicopter, and then retreaded to where the AC/UR forces were supposed to meet them. Soon after, AC marines and UR special operators began clearing out the building. The ambassador was found dead with a sack over his head along with almost all of his staff. In the end, there were 69 bodies recovered along with 7 living personnel, 3 of which were in critical condition. Due to the dangerous conditions outside, AC drones began unloading ordinance onto the outdoor area in order to allow the evacuation helicopters to rescue the remaining personnel. They departed without further incident. In total, 102 cats were killed during the duration of the siege. The AC Department of International Affairs soon officially withdrew their embassy in Naidun, and began an investigation into the role the Naidun police and paramilitary forces played in the slaughter the was the Naidun Embassy Siege of 2023.
