Instructions

The Polyops-bekkos or the Opstabek is a semi-large omnivore native to the North Tundra. These bird-like creatures are know for their strange eye stalks upon their head. The reason they have these stalks are for detecting nearby predators and possible food. The Opstabek's main deference is not only their mace-like tail, but their strong beak. Since they are omnivores they would need something to tear flesh apart. Due to them living in one of harsh tundras of this world, they grew large fluffy, feathery coats of fur. Not only that but they live in groups, normally with 5-30 members. A group of them is called a 'snuggle' due to them being seen snuggling together for extra warmth. Despite being group animals, they are most likely to kill and eat other members of their species if they are hungry. But this is mostly done by larger groups that may have trouble finding food for everyone in the horrid cold. Their average lifespan is 5-15 years, as after a certain age they are to slow to keep up with their moving 'snuggle'. Children of the species are born in thick shelled eggs that requires the help of an adult to hatch. The youth of the species reach adulthood at the age of 3. How and what the Opstabek evolved from is not exactly known, but it is to be believed that it evolved from another bird-like species.
