Disney Cinema is the British version of the original French channel In 2001, Disney Cinema UK launched as a block on DR3 called Toon Disney on DR3 In 2003, the block changed it's logo In 2004, the block was renamed to Portal Disney In 2005, the block became it's own channel In 2007, the channel now airs Disney Channel shows, now it has two genres of programming: Disney and Pixar films and Disney Channel shows, causing it to change the logo to the style to Disney Channel In 2009, the channel now airs Disney XD shows, now it has three genres of programming: Disney and Pixar films, Disney Channel shows and Disney XD shows In 2011, they reverted to the 2004 logo, but the Disney text is purple In 2015, Portal Disney was renamed to Disney Cinema In 2018, Disney Cinema was sadly shut down
