I just realized that despite Emerald being a bit short, Void is even shorter than him. Gosh, Void is so tiny, nobody would expect him to be some powerful eldritch creature from a different dimension.
I don't know how many times I have to repeat this: VOID IS NOT A CHILD! He's an adult. And he is considered to be very tall for his species, the Void People.
