greetings! and welcome to the camper signups for src august 2023's session! <3 scratch reading camp, more commonly abbreviated as src, is a triannual reading camp that runs on scratch! it comprises of three sessions taking place in april, august, and december. during camp, you're required to read, participate in various activities, and compete with other cabins! in order to earn points, you complete dailies, weeklies, discussion questions, and more! most of the activities include reading, which will also contribute to points at the end of camp! camper signups close at midnight utc on the 25th of july. you will be informed about which cabin you are sorted into in late july. the page goal limit is 10,000 pages. to hit that goal would require you to read over 320 pages each day - which won't be beneficial for your irl life. remember to follow scratch guidelines and be kind to each other <3 src aims to provide campers and (co)leaders with an enjoyable experience, but please remember to prioritise irl life <3 here's a list of cabins this session! <3 adventure : @starry-silk and @euphoriafall dystopian : @essayist, @lokiously and @rosereef tall tales : @luna724 and @embxr_theauthzr fantasy : @xx_hermione_xx and @sophcamps mystery : @flowerelf371 and @reva-scifi_lover you're not required to read the same genre as your cabin <3 if you want to read a specific genre you do not have to join that cabin - try picking cabin preferences by leaders instead! please fill this form below to sign up as a camper : 1. username (preferably without @) 2. timezone (this helps in sorting, but it's perfectly alright if you're uncomfortable sharing <3) 3. page goal (a good starting goal would be 700-1000 pages - and the maximum you can go till is 10,000 pages) 4. activity level (how active will you be during august? are their any events which will occupy you?) 5. two cabin preferences (if you don't have any, just say so!) 6. profile comments (if your profile comments are off, where would you like us to notify you?) all cabins are absolutely wonderful, and if you're not sorted in your preferences, please bare with it. sorting is not an easy task, and I can promise you that all leaders are wonderful <3 if you have any questions related to camp, feel free to ask one of the wonderful hosts this session (@lokiously, @essayist and @RoseReef) credits @lokiously, @Rosereef and @essayist for hosting this session, and all the past (g)hosts who have make src into what it is today <3 swc for inspiration canva for designing this project music from youtube studio thank you!! have a wonderful session <3
