So the new update. I don't mind the purple that much. I love purple actually. its one of my favorite colors. It actually looks pretty nice with the scratch orange. My problem is how they executed the color change. First of all not making the purple optional. Like they did the blocks. Having a color change this sudden and drastic can be very jarring and changes of any kind will always be met with some pushback. Making it optional will literally be the best option for everyone. Now i understand that this was to help with website clarity for colorblind users but there definitely are better way to go it. First of all the colors were not the problem. The contrast was. The easiest way to view the contrast of an image is just to turn it black and white. as we can see the old blue has the lowest contrast at the point of the lighter blue with the used for the unread messages. And they decided the best fix was just to only change the main blue to purple and then the number next to the messages to this auburn red color? Why did they not change the lighter blue too? When you are working with purple you have to go all in. It isn't an everyman's color like blue that works in most situations. It's purple. its a rarity. its royalty. You have to go all in. don't skimp out on the supporting colors and you must respect that not all colors go well with it. And in the message screen these colors don't click. You changed the main color to purple but didn't change the blue? at all? If you just changed it to purple it would look so much better. I'm also not a fan of that big reddish crab of a message number either. either tone down the red or go all in with a deep magenta if you really want that high of contrast. You didn't even have to change to purple! it could of been kept to blue! Just deepen the blue. That way it isn't as jarring for regular users. Now the red message coin actually looks good. but that just my opinion. Anyway scratch please listen to your users more and maybe hire a person who knows color theory.
