Happy Pride!! <3 As you can see, quite a few characters from The Fall of the Clans are queer, and this isn’t even all of them. Ever since I started the comic I knew it was important to have representation, and I’m doing my best to include a variety of identities, struggles and dynamics with these characters to hopefully reach someone who needs it. A lot of these identities haven’t been formally revealed in the comic yet, which is actually another reason I was hesitant to post this since I want to avoid spoiling too much, but I figured it’s important to make things like this clear, because these things are important to these characters and it will (hopefully) prevent misunderstandings. So yeah! Gay kitties!!! Plumpaw - Plumpaw is transgender and also lithoromantic. She was born as a boy but transitioned early in her apprenticeship. She is a girl and uses she/her pronouns, please do not refer to her as male. Lithoromanticism lies on the aromantic spectrum, so essentially Plumpaw can and will feel romantic attraction but the idea of it being reciprocated makes her uncomfortable. She doesn’t want a romantic relationship. I understand this might be confusing for many, because she pretty clearly had a crush on Seedpaw. I will later clear things up more in the comic itself and it will explain her exact feelings in more depth ^^ Seedpaw - Seedpaw is gay! He likes boys! Unfortunately for a lot of you this does mean Plumseed isn’t going to be canon (if Plumpaw being lithoromantic didn’t make that obvious enough). But I know for many of you this does also create some hope for other pairings, but I cannot confirm they will be happening! Don’t get your hopes up too high haha Nightdust - Nightdust is a very sad gay man. He is pining desperately over someone, buuuut I can’t say who yet. Let’s just say whoever it is has broken his heart more than a few times hehe Driftpaw - Driftpaw is… also gay. There’s a lot of gay cats in this comic I can’t help it,, I actually don’t have much to say about it at the moment, but at the point we are in the story right now Driftpaw is completely unaware of this!! So that means some gay panic/crisis scenes!! Yay!!!!! Sunflowerpaw - You’re probably thinking one of two things (or maybe both): “I don’t recognize her???” or “she looks like Seedpaw!” And to that I say, yes! Sunflowerpaw has not yet been introduced in the comic, and she’s also Seedpaw’s sister which is why they look so similar. I can’t really say much about her but we’ll be meeting her fairly soon! I hope you all will love her as much as I do :D Orangepaw - Okay yeah y’all probably don’t recognize this lil guy either, but she does have a (very old ugly outdated) ref sheet on the ref sheet project. Anyway, he’s genderfluid! They use any pronouns, but it often depends on how they’re feeling that day. Her pronouns are subject to change, so I hope this doesn’t confuse any of you too much. Just keep in mind that he’s genderfluid <3 Rainstar - Rainstar is bisexual! Also he is SUCH an interesting character and I’m still waiting to reveal a lot more about him in the near future,, I can’t really say much though but yeahhh he’s attracted to both toms and she-cats B) Happy Pride again!!
