These are my newest invertebrates to my collection, the Malaysian whipspider / tailless whipscorpion. I have a male (left) and a female (right). These are incredibly rare to find, and there isn't much info on them. The seller didn't know the exact species so I had to do a little research on that.I knew they are in the genus Catageus, so I started to research more about this genus. Based on my research they could either be a Catageus longispina or a Catageus orientalis. Based on the size of their body, I'm guessing they are Catageus orientalis because their body (cephalothorax and abdomen) are 3/4 of an inch while Catageus longispina body is usually a little more than an inch. There is a possibility they could be immature specimens, but I was told this was as big as they'll get. Also I was able to take a look at some others they had and they were all around the same size of smaller. Update: 6/30/2023 I recently found out that Catageus longispina is the only species out of the three that comes from Malaysia, therefore I most likely have Catageus longispina ps, I know I have been extremely inactive lately. I haven't had much time to use scratch, but I'm working on my last vectors and OCs, then I'll focus more on some animations, please be patient.
