Instructions

Long story short, I was listening to some music a while and and heard this song. I tried to replicate it on a piano and got pretty close to the original. Then I discovered the name of the song was "The Ashokan Farewell" and is often played at Civil War music. Then I got to thinking, "A..sho...kan... Oh! AHSOKAN!" and then this came about. Around the Civil War of the Republic, the Unionists and Separatists fought many a long battle to no avail. The Northern systems and Southern systems fought a long war to solve quite a few disputes. Men on both sides (plus clones on the Union and droids on the Separatists) would often sing solemn songs on the fences of battlefronts, wondering why they were fighting this giant war. Those same that were so confident and energy filled not too long ago were now tired of fighting fellow denizens of the Republic. As the war came to a close, the southern Separatists were defeated and President Palpatine Davis was removed from office. Grand Moff Lincoln was now the president of the now unified Republic. After the war, Ahsoka Tano wrote a song that bidded the people staying at her rustic inn farewell, thus the name "Ahsokan Farewell". Now, every time one thinks of the Civil War, her song is remembered. Alright, so I'm going to be totally honest, I kind of made that all up. Some parts were Star Wars, others were actual Civil War happenings. Don't tell your History teacher anything I just told you as fact. Palpatine was NOT the leader of the Confederate States, nor was Ahsoka Tano ACTUALLY the writer of the "Ashokan Farewell" I was explaining the backstory of this project and the interesting aspects of both Star Wars and the Civil War. Although Star Wars is cool and all, a great respect for the Civil War this project and song have also given me, as I hope they have you. "For the Republic, for which it stands, one Nation, under God, with liberty and justice for all!" - Commander Thorne reciting the allegiance Last note: You probably guess this by now, but for those who either might be unfamiliar with American history or may be sensitive about politics, the Republic here does NOT (Great emphasis implied) refer to a political party. Alright, that's it.
