He grew up with a decent family and over the years he took a lot of interest in geeky things. But one day, when he went to visit his family, he found a grizzly sight. His parents had been brutally murdered in their bedroom. And in the closet, he could still hear their voices. A grey hand with uncannily long fingers slowly creaked open the door, and a disturbing long grin bared it's teeth at Ash. it stole their voices... Ash didn't stick around to get a better look at the entity. He just started running, and running, and running. He hid in his house, but nothing made him feel safe. He had a constant feeling that he was being watched, constantly peering over his shoulder. He couldn't find any comfort, any safety. Every night, he thought he heard shuffling outside of his home. Every creak of the floor boards made his heart skip a beat. He locked himself inside his house and didn't contact anyone. This resulting in him losing contact with many of his friends and losing his job at a storage facility. One day, he just couldn't take it anymore, and finally looked for help. His search eventually lead him to one man. Nurquill Crimson. Nurquill's deal with Ash was simple. Ash gave Nurquill the rights to his soul, and Nurquill would provide Ash with the protection he needed from the Impure. Ash also got a new job at Nightmare Inc out of this deal. Ash was placed in a security department, and he was trained by one of his new coworkers, Celeste Evergreen. The two hit it off really well, with Celeste finding Ash's dorkiness rather endearing. Eventually, the two got together, and are now an adorable couple. Over his time at Nightmare Inc, Ash grew more comfortable and less anxious, but his fears about the Impures still reside deep inside of his mind. ---Changelings--- Changelings are a race of shapeshifters, people who had a strong bond with the art of acting and were given this power by a greater force. However, some Changelings yearned to use these powers for more evil deeds. As a punishment, this greater force disfigured them and made their shapeshifting imperfect. This caused a split between the Changelings. The Pure, and The Impure. Pure Changelings have mostly canny features and can perfectly shapeshift without trouble. Impure Changelings however have much more nightmarish appearances and their shapeshifting always leads to uncanny results. The Impure have lost most of their humanity, and want to exterminate all the Pure Changelings in a desperate attempts to regain their perfect shapeshifting abilities. Changelings cannot take the shape of another Changelings base form, so if you see a Changeling's standard form, you know it can't be another Changeling is disguise. Changelings can also mimic the voices of people they hear. And unlike the Pure Changelings, Impure Changelings have also adapted the ability to morph into animals, albeit uncanny and disfigured.
