DATA PRESENTED AS OF SEP. 15, 1916 [The Ordnenbrog Line] Workers across New Palen have began construction on the Ordnenbrog line, a huge interconnected trench network built along the border, paid for by a defense budget hike of nearly +78% and the Ordnenbrog Fund, the emergency defense budget of New Palen created by Defense Minister John P. Ordnenbrog in 1896. This trench system stretches across the foothills behind the Rogue Mountains, with thousands of infantry and artillery forces keeping watch. The Ordnenbrog Line also includes a naval force, protecting all major coastal cities and maritime waters. Luigi Marcus VI has declared National Defense Level (NDL) 4, and establishing a Coastal Security Buffer Zone (CSBZ) around all of New Palen. This area will be actively patrolled by Navy ships. Also, with NDL4, the New Palenese Defence Agency has ordered a mass conscription drive, planning to draft over 100,000 new conscripts by the end of the year 1916.
