Explanation: Game companies most likely do not sell old games for an older console they made, because it is not sold, so emulation for old consoles does not reduce income for the company. On the other hand, modern games are sold for money. So modern emulation is just taking valuable code, and giving it to others for free, making companies lose money from the copies THEY could have sold.
