I made a picture with a picrew for each year since when I was 5 <3 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 5: Kindergarten 2012-2013 Madison, she/her ~ Your local goodie two shoes kid ~ Didn’t know about lgbtq or anything related to that ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 6: First Grade 2013-2014 Maddie, she/her ~ We moved and I went to a new school ~ Decided to go by my nickname ~ Mom said I should cut my hair ~ Didn’t know anything about lgbtq related stuff ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 7: Second Grade 2014-2015 Maddie, she/her ~ Started growing my hair back out ~ Started all-star cheer ~ Got my ears pierced (the earrings look a lot like the ones in the picrew!!) ~ Joined the school play and obtained a pair of fake glasses ~ Still didn’t know about lgbtq ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 8: Third Grade 2015-2016 Maddie, she/her ~ Was bullied :( ~ Was in a different class than most of my old friends ~ Mom realized that she could curl my hair and it would stay curled ~ Still didn’t know about lgbtq ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 9: Fourth Grade 2016-2017 Maddie, she/her ~ Quiet kid suddenly ~ Hair had grown back out to original length ~ Switched schools at the end of the year ~ Still didn’t know about lgbtq yet ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 10: Fifth Grade 2017-2018 Maddie, she/her ~ We moved ~ Switched schools, had to wear uniforms now ~ Started middle school ~ Began learning French ~ Hair got really light colored and wavy ~ Became friends with the popular kids (so d r a m a) ~ Didn’t know about lgbtq ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 11: Sixth Grade 2018-2019 Maddie, she/her ~ Some of my old friends switched schools ~ Made my first scratch account, named it @Amberpaw_Amberleaf due to my obsession with the Warriors books at the time ~ Acne happened ~ Still didn’t know about lgbtq ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 12: Seventh Grade 2019-2020 Maddie, she/her ~ Learned a little bit about lgbtq and realized I was ace ~ Very talkative kid in the class ~ Went to Australia and New Zealand ~ Got called the rich kid ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 13: Eighth Grade 2020-2021 Maddie, she/her they/them ~ Covid :( ~ Thought I was genderflux, then later genderfluid ~ Decided that I was alright with they/them pronouns :) ~ Discovered blue light glasses ~ Briefly got obsessed with putting my hair up (in 2021) ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 14: Beginning of Freshman Year 2021 Maddie, she/they ~ Started high school ~ Loved telling random stories ~ Basically acted like *that* kind of freshman smh ~ Thought I was lesbian, had a relationship with someone ~ Outed myself to friends by accident ~ Also briefly decided to go by any pronouns, but that didn’t last long ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 14: End of Freshman Year 2022 Maddie, she/they ~ Thinking I was genderfluid made me cut my hair shorter at the very end of 2021 ~ Was embarrassed by how I acted at the beginning of the year, so I was much quieter ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 15: Sophomore Year 2022-2023 Maddie, she/they ~ Kinda quiet ~ Liked wearing girly stuff to a certain level ~ ‘Daydreamed’ a lot ~ Wore makeup for the first time ~ Very into music ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Age 16: Junior Year 2023-2024 Maddie, she/they (Technically in the future, but don’t ruin the vibe >://) ~ Found out I was aroace and a demigirl ~ Found an old diffuser lying around and learned how to make my hair wavy with it ~ Started learning guitar ~ Doesn’t wear makeup as much, but still does sometimes
