Instructions

These are two r's. One is happy, and the other is sad. They both speak English, but their accents are different.  Happy R (who's red) speaks in American English because Americans use rhotic accents. When he's bonded with a vowel, he's always heard. Vowels will connect with r and will accept him to add his sound. For example, "/ɑɹ/" as in "car." But for Sad R (who's blue), he speaks in a British accent because British people don't use rhotic accents. When he's bonded with a vowel, he's never heard. Vowels will still connect with him, but will not accept him to add his sound. For example, "/ɑː/" as in car /kɑː/. This wasn't fair for him. What's worse for him is that his name doesn't have a /ɹ/ sound in it.
