Ok, let me back up. The picture on the left is the Horten HO-229, obviously. The picture on the right is the sketch by Kenneth Arnold of the UFO he saw in 1947. I am skeptical of aliens, however I do notice similarities between these two crafts, and is it really hard to imagine that Arnold saw an unmarked HO-229 under testing out there in the mountains? We captured lots of German planes. Or could it have been a new type based on the Horten Brothers' research? Jack Northrop would've loved to get his hands on some of that. Now, I know the UFO is more rounded than the HO-229, and I think I could explain that. Arnold said the object was crescent-shaped, and if I'd never seen an HO-229 and didn't know what it was I'd look at it and try to compare its shape to something. The craft is shaped like a crescent moon, and when Arnold drew it the only detail he knew was that it was shaped like a crescent and he emphasised that in his sketch. From far away details like engines wouldn't be visible, so all he could see would be a crescent-shaped aircraft with a cockpit.
Anybody agree? Disagree? Am I the only one who realizes this? Am I jumping to conclusions? Lemme know in the comments!
