(space to advance) Thought I'd throw my hat in the ring, this guy looks like a right scrunkly and I'd love for them to have a home in my character canon :) Not like I was in the process of making an animation meme, but I could not resist getting my little fingies on this design >:) --- Name: Baikal Age: well, they're dead and they've been dead for millions of years, but they were probably a young adult when they died Pronouns: They/them Species: Ambulocetus Natans (a species of early amphibious cetacean from the early Eocene epoch) Sexuality: Ace Personality: Baikal is quite quiet and reserved. They like their own company and don't seek out others, though if they see someone else in need of company, they'll gladly provide it. They can be quite awkward, but they try to be nice and sympathetic. They used to be very superstitious and religious, obsessing over finding some greater meaning to life, but as time went on, they have become increasingly nihilistic. Likes: cold water, salps (to eat), being alone, being close to the coast, the smell of kelp, quietness, the wonders of nature, reading Dislikes: loud noises, stupid people, darkness, deep water (very scared of it), being undead Relationships: Mylah-they found the isopod wandering the Abyssal Plain and is teaching them how to harness the magic that leaks out of Pelagos's core. Mylah is lonely and Baikal is happy to nurture her confidence. Design Changes: Made the rib pattern an actual ribcage, added some swirlies, simplified the patterns because I am simple, changed the species from 'generic furry' to the specific cetacean in order to fit the lore better, also changed the tail to something more akin to a cetacean tail, because the original was more of a ray-finned fish tail Design Notes: The pink glowy bits are solid, but warm like fire. Don't shake their hands. All the bony bits are indeed bones. Mandatory Images: 1) cool picture 2) anthro form (as an undead sea spirit, they do not feel the need for clothes) saving my strength for the animation meme that is to come >:) I will reveal the lore in the animation meme, but it's got something to do with the song playing in the background... it's also low-stakes compared with the DTAEs I did to win Violet and Basil.
