mkay so this one is their backstory. basically, Pyro (long snout) is Whisp's best friend and crush. they were inseparable. they ended up in a relationship and loved each other dearly. However, this happiness is soon to end because Laura (the rabbit) decided that she needed some more test subjects for her experiments. and because pyro is a morlokii, a species that is very much endangered, she captured their mom and pyro along with whisp. whisp's mother fought fiercely to rescue them but laura fought with a strength greater than the mother and left her to die of blood loss. now, whisp and pyro are in the laboratory, constantly being experimented on and constantly fighting other species. some makeshift hybrids as well. each time, pyro is shot with this purple dart which turns them into a bloodthirsty version of them self, not remembering any face. the time came for them to fight each other, and pyro is shot with the dart. their eyes turn purple and they lunge at whisp and killing her in a swift motion. whisp levitated from her body and realized what had happened. she had not known about the dart or liquid inside of it so all she saw was her mate, over her dead body, with blood in their teeth. later, laura had captured whisp's ghost and merged it with another ghost. now they are always fighting for control of the body. whisp as a vengeful spirit and norii as a calm spirit. the lanterns represent the relationship whisp once had with pyro.
