Welcome to the world of Mountainclan, where you'll find yourself confronted with a decision: will you choose the path of a warrior and defend your clan from outsiders, or will you choose the path of a medicine cat and protect them a different way? ~***~ Controls -------------- - arrow keys to move - s key to see your stats - m key to see the map - c key to close stats or the map - click on characters and objects to interact with them - press space to attack when you are fighting - click on your nest to sleep (your nest changes dens depending on what your role is, and you can only sleep at night) Tips -------- - talk to Hogmuzzle on day 1 (the second day) if you want to be a medicine cat - If you choose the path of a warrior, make sure to train with Duckpaw a lot to improve your strength - If you choose the path of a medicine cat, make sure to memorize the different herbs. You can also click on the herb storage to see what herbs you need - some areas aren't open for exploring until you've reached certain points in the story - If you don't like your full name once you receive it, you can change the suffix by pressing the zero key (I get it, some combinations are just awful) - You can choose a mate by talking to certain characters starting on day 12 (unless you're a medicine cat) - talk to the characters, you never know what interesting things you might learn from them - Most importantly, follow the instructions you are given if you want to succeed
I started making this game years ago after playing the adventures in Bayclan game series by @Wildflight . (Her games were a huge inspiration and influenced a lot in this game, so go check them out!) I stopped working on Diverging Paths for a couple of years before rediscovering it recently, and I decided to finish it for nostalgia's sake. Mountainclan, it's story, and the characters have a special place in my heart, and I'm excited to share them with you! If this game gets enough love, I might even finish and share the prequel game that I had planned for it ;) Update log ---------------- 3/2/2022 - added the option to sleep! I also shortened the days a bit since a lot of you requested it 3/5/2022 - made your bed a little lighter, so it's more obvious which one you can sleep in.
