Name: Zephyr (name after death), Sienna (name when alive) Species: Fox Gender: Genderfloret S3xuality: Abros3xual Pronouns: She/they/fae Birthday: October 25 Backstory: As a pup, Sienna’s mom was an exile from the Leaf-runners and their dad was a rogue outside of the groups. The two had run away together, but her dad left them; he was annoyed to think that he had left behind his life as a solitary rogue for a family. Soon, Sienna’s mom began disappearing for long periods of time. One day, she didn’t come back at all. Sienna started having to fend for faerself. They never spoke to other foxes, and moved locations often. One day, she ended up near the packs again, where fae was careful not to get to close to the territories of the Leaf-runners and the Snow-runners. One chilly fall day, Sienna found two little pups in the forest. She looked around for a while, but didn’t find any foxes around who claimed the pups. Knowing that winter was fast approaching, fae decided to take matters into their own paws. They took the pups back to their current location in a rock outcropping. While the pups were sleeping, foxes from the packs came to Sienna’s home. They told her that fae would have to leave immediately, or else. Sienna took this time to ask if the foxes there knew about two pups in the forest. The leader of the patrol said that they had recently banished a fox expecting pups, but that the packs didn’t need runty pups. Sienna took the pups, and moved to a different location. Fae started to hunt more and more often as winter approached. One cold day, it began snowing. Hard. In the winds, the cover was blown off her shelter, and they had to sit with the pups. Sienna realized that she had to be next to the pups, or else they would freeze. Fae curled up next to them, and started feeling colder and colder. As the last forces in her began ebbing away, they saw a fox coming. She felt one last pang of bittersweet happiness. The pups would be taken care of. When Sienna opened faer eyes again, they found she was in a clearing with a path leading to the stars. She walked up the path curiously, and found two foxes standing before a doorway. Sienna asked the foxes if fae could go through the doorway. The two foxes answered that she could not go through the doorway, as they were not a pack fox. She walked back down the path again sadly, only to meet a young fox. The fox introduced themself as Doe, and asked if Sienna would like to be a spirit. Doe told her that they were banned from the pack’s afterlife as well, but that it had chosen to become a nature spirit instead. Sienna accepted, and became the sprit of fall. Doe also asked her if fae wanted to change their name now, and fae also accepted, changing their name to Zephyr. Now they could watch over their adopted pups again.
