Command Prompt controls: squidnet - Opens Squidnet. squidver - Opens the about dialog. syspref - Opens the settings app. mediaplayer - Opens the music player. cmd - ??? help - ??? about - Tells you info about the system. Note: There are a few more hidden commands you'll have to find out, hopefully not by opening the editor.

Based on build 4.0.230607 (Originally posted June 7, 2023) After a rough last year, I'm super excited to finally be sharing this. squidOS Aurora is the most feature-complete version of squidOS to date and I hope you all like it as much as I do. With that being said, here is the *complete* list of things that have changed, because there is a lot. squidOS Aurora Developer Preview: CHANGELOG - This version is based on squidOS Framework 2022, rather than squidOS Polaris. - The boot screen has been changed, with a fade-in animation and enhanced graphics. - The theme and art style has been changed to be more refined and sleek, with an enhanced focus on consistency and the use of vector graphics. - The setup screen has been overhauled and now has background music and animations. - There is now a lock screen, which you now have to get to before the login screen (might be optional in the future) - Windows themselves also have new animations, except for pop-up windows, which will be added soon. - There is now a squidOS store, which is a feature I've been wanting to add since the start of SquidOS 3 development in December 2020. - Apps are now modular and can be easily added or removed. - The apps list has also been put in the center and has options for shutting down, logging out, or restarting. - Settings is undergoing a redesign, with a category-based view, similar to Windows Vista and Windows 7. It's still a work in progress. - SquidChat has been brought back from SquidOS 3, and has been completely rewritten from scratch to be functional, instead of a simple slideshow. - Squidnet has also been updated to version 4.5 which is part of the upcoming squidOS Polaris Update 2. This is temporary and will be replaced after its release. - You can now play an early test version of Jetpack Cat 2, which is being worked on by Poky. We're not ready to show you the main game mode just yet, so it just comes up with an error message for now.
