It's been three years since Aurous left. Marble sighed, their mind on painful old memories. His mother leaving, making his dad go into a depressed cocoon. Eventually disappearing in the night. His older brother had dy!ng because of his recklessness as a kit. Having to sleep outside. Running from dogs. ~~~~ (Ts to 3 years before) "Cu'mon Aurous!" Marble was waiting for his older brother. They were hunting in the forest. Aurous peeked out of the rabbit den and said, "One second Marb!" and went back in. He came out with two rabbits. "Whoa!" Marble said, their eyes glowing as Aurous caught up to them. "Can I catch something like that?!" He said, jumping up and down. Aurous nodded as he buried the rabbits to retrieve them later. A bit later, they reached a thunder path. Aurous was preparing to run through it, telling Marble what it was and how to get across. Marble nodded, ready to run in. The two cats bolted into the thunder path. Aurous had made it half way, to the weird border thing. He turned around to make sure Marble was behind him. "Marble!" ~~~ Marble was frozen in the middle of the thunder path. He didn't expect this place to be so loud and scary! Marble didn't want to go across it again! Hearing his name, Marble looked at Aurous and saw him run over. Then a bright light. He felt himself being flung and a loud noise. Then darkness. When Marble woke up, he was lying against a tree. Everything hurting. After a few tries, Marble was able to stand up and walk. Where did Aurous go? Walking back to the thunder path was a pain, but Marble went over to see it empty. The moon was high in the sky and the stars were out. Marble came closer and saw a silhouette of a cat lying on its side. He went to investigate and regretted it. It was the b0dy of Aurous. ~~~ (Ts to 10 yrs later) Marble was walking in the forest, with his brother. They reached a clearing and he could see how being in 'Starclan' had some perks. Aurous had convinced the clan to let them see his brother. He had been trying to for the last 5 years, just to see him grow up. Aurous' body emitted soft glow and was transparent. He had silver wings and a billion halos (A bit too much if you ask Marble). But he was still Marble's older brother. "You know what? I'm going to be as good as you when I get older." Marble said, proudly but trying to hold back tears. Aurous smiled, soon apologizing for leaving them alone for all the past years. Marble soon broke down, crying into his brother's transparent fur.
