Hello everyone! Can you believe I came back to about 200 messages and hit 200 followers!? For some reason, scratch deleted my post because apparently they didn't like bluegrape's entry with the 'lollipop, even though I 'blurred' it out. Oh well, but anyways, I am back early (Jun.5) from a trip that got cut two weeks to Venice for a school competition. If you guys haven’t I really recommend going there for any reason. Back to my trip. I was part of a group that competed for *can’t say because it is confidential* and we won a $1,100 cash prize. Since there were 3 of us, we each got about 200-300 dollars! When I say I was surprised we won, I really mean it! I then used that money to buy a new tablet because I was just using a very old ipad, so I decided to upgrade a bit. When we got back home, I took out my backpack to get my sketchbook so I could draw because it had been a while, but then I realized that it wasn’t in the pouch I put it in. That was when the worst possible idea came to mind. What if..I left it in the hotel room? I was practically crying *not really* but after a while I embraced the fact that I lost it. So, I ordered a new one. Turns out that it costs $85 FOR A MINI SKETCHBOOK!?! After I saw that price, I said 'You wish..' and then set up a funeral for my long-lost sketchbook. To be honest, prices are really high these days, and I still don’t get why, but that's that. Now you guys are going to have to bear with the fact that I am going to use digital art for the rest of my journey here on scratch. I am kind of sad because my art style changed very much. Before I was doing like semi-realism, but now I am going for *don’t quote me on this* but a more anime cartoon-ish style. I think I just forgot how to draw really. oop- It is ok though. I don’t mind anymore, because it is not as time consuming as the semi-realism art pieces. Each drawing takes me about 3 hours, sometimes 3 ½ but that is only when I want to add extra deets. Can you believe that instead of improving, I de-proved? 1 // This was simply a color test from the different saturation and gradients that I was experimenting with. I think it turned out well! 2// I was experimenting the pen sensor, so this is really just some test, and oohh is that a new character for a perhaps DMC that may or may not be coming out?? 3// I just realized that all of these are just experiments, this is technically kind of for @TheBlueGrape1 , but you don't have to count this as an entry if you don't want, I just wanted to try to see what the character would look like young I guess. I am not sure if this is your character, but I just saw it in one of your projects and generally i just wanted to try our style! It was fun, but I don't know how you do this every time!
